Goodies Episodes Available on Home Video
This page was originally created when only about half of The Goodies episodes had been released on home video; the intent was to show which episodes were available for purchase. With the release of 2018's The Complete BBC Collection every existing Goodies episode and special is now on DVD. This page now serves the purpose of showing which episodes were released most frequently and on which collections.
Other pages in the Video section of this site go into great detail about the various releases and repackages/box sets. For the purpose of simplicity, this page only considers releases that contain episodes being released for the first time. I have lumped in the UK and Australian releases that contain the same episodes (bonus features are ignored for this page but are extensively detailed on both the Home Video Releases and DVD Comparisons pages).
An explanation of the abbreviations used on this page:
VHS: episode appears on a videotape.
VHS releases include the BBC episodes The Goodies and the Beanstalk, The End (Australian release edited), Bunfight at the O.K. Tearooms, Kitten Kong, Scatty Safari (edited), and Scoutrageous as well as the LWT episodes Football Crazy, Robot, Big Foot, and Change of Life (all LWT episodes edited).
US DVD: the US VHS with Kitten Kong, Scatty Safari (edited), and Scoutrageous was released on NTSC format DVD (until 2018 this was the only DVD release of this episode).
